This outstanding pair of antiques Roman Empire period green Porphyry and white Carrara marble obelisks has high quality hand chiseled mercury gilt bronze details throughout.

A finely chiseled ormolu final with pointed bronze tips a sphere and acanthus leaves adorn the upper part of the pyramid form centerpiece. Four winged lions support the upper part of the obelisk that rest on a solid white Carrara marble fluted base adorned with a mercury gilt bronze cord. The lower part of the obelisk is a rectangular shaped green porphyry base embellished with ormolu masks and floral details and is supported by a solid white Carrara marble square shaped base resting on gilt bronze lion’s paw feet. These items can be sold separately.
